Wolves have apparently reached a decision on Noha Lemina

Wolves have reportedly come to a decision on Noha Lemina, after the winger joined the club on loan for the second half of 2023/24.

Noha was the only addition for Wolves in January 2024, with a precarious financial position really limiting what Gary O’Neil, Matt Hobbs and co could do.

The club wanted to sign a striker, with Armando Broja targeted.

But in the end, a deal could not be done, and Noha was the only incoming. The younger brother of Mario Lemina joined Wolves on loan, after spending the first half of the season with Sampdoria.

Wolves fan were hoping to see Noha in first-team action towards the end of 2023/24. But in the end, he never featured under O’Neil.

Now, there is word that Wolves have made a decision on the youngster.

There was never a possibility that Noha would be thrown straight into first-team action after completing his move from Paris Saint-Germain.

Noha was always going to take some time to get up to speed, after hardly playing at Sampdoria.

He did make O’Neil’s first-team bench a few times, but never got on the pitch.

Noha made a few appearances for the U21s, but in April, journalist Liam Keen said on the E&S podcast that the winger had looked very raw in a game against Sunderland.

He dropped an honest verdict at the time, and said that he would be surprised if Noha would go on to get any minutes in the Premier League.

Now, Keen has reported via the E&S that Wolves have actually decided not to take up their £1.7 million option to buy the 19-year-old, and he will now head back to France.

Noha’s loan with Wolves will officially expire on July 1.

A shame for Noha

So Wolves will seemingly not be committing to buying Noha following his loan, and it is a shame that he couldn’t quite show enough to earn a permanent move.

There is already some discussion about Noha on social media following this report, with some now quite confused as to why Noha was brought in back in January.

It just hasn’t worked out for the youngster – who was described as ‘an exciting young talent’ by Gary O’Neil back in January when he signed – and he will now return to PSG who will sit down with him and discuss the next steps.

Hopefully, he won’t be too disappointed about not signing permanently for Wolves, and be able to kick on wherever he goes in 2024/25.
