Wolves may have one last chance to land Armando Broja from Chelsea today, after the club pulled out of a deal to sign Yuri Alberto.
It’s transfer deadline day, and a final chance for Gary O’Neil to land the new striker he has been craving all window.
It has been a tough month for Wolves, with only Noha Lemina signing so far.
The club have been financially restricted, making it very difficult to bring in new players who can add real value. But thankfully, Wolves are in a great position at the moment, and aren’t desperate for new recruits like they were this time last year.
In the last minutes, David Ornstein has made a claim about Broja which may suggest a move to Molineux is still possible…
Wolves could yet land Armando Broja on transfer deadline day

Ornstein has reported this morning that Chelsea could now let Armando Broja leave on a straight loan this month.
Previously, it has been suggested that the Blues would only loan Broja out if they could get a permanent sale in the summer.
Ornstein writes on X: “Chelsea now open to letting Armando Broja go on straight loan, with significant fee & game time assurance. Sale or loan + obligation still possible. If numbers & conditions aren’t right, may stay + assess in summer.”
He adds in The Athletic: “But the stance has become more flexible as the January transfer window draws towards a close.”
The claim comes after Ornstein reported last night that Wolves had pulled out of a deal for Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto. Supposedly, the finances involved were a stumbling block, with agents requesting extra money.
A possible game changer for Wolves, but major work to do
This is an interesting development over Broja.
Wolves saw a loan proposal knocked back by Chelsea earlier this week, because the Blue wanted an obligation to buy if they were to let Broja – who Mauricio Pochettino believes has ‘amazing potential’ go.
It sounds as though they might be more willing to offload the player without an obligation, which could change the game for Wolves.
We shall see what happens in the coming hours, but the latest from Ornstein is that a late move for Broja is not out of the question.
