Jorgen Strand Larsen has underperformed this season for Wolves, and there are no two ways about it.
The Norwegian forward was meant to be the Old Gold’s talisman, but instead his presence up top has been more of a hindrance than anything.
Jamie Carragher feels that Larsen moving away from Wolves in January will happen after he has been on the bench for the last two games.
The pundit may be correct, as the Old Gold have been linked with numerous strikers over the last week. Sam Surridge was the first to be tipped with Wolves, and then a £5 million deal for another forward was mentioned too.
With the transfer window now open, we could start to see some movement over the next few weeks, and Nottingham Forest are the latest to register interest in Wolves’ number nine.
And the Old Gold faithful have a lot to say about it.
Who do you think will be the first to leave Wolves in January?🤔
Nottingham Forest interested in Jorgen Strand Larsen

Despite his struggling form, Jorgen Strand Larsen appears to be a man in demand. Multiple Premier League clubs reportedly hold an interest in the Norwegian.
West Ham and Crystal Palace were two of the more interested parties, but according to reports, Wolves’ price tag has put the two London clubs off.
Additionally, Everton have also been watching the Old Gold forward, and there are also certain to be other European sides in the mix as well.
However, Nottingham Forest are also fans of Strand Larsen, according to journalist John Percy.
The Tricky Trees were not looking to be active this January, but according to the report, “Forest have placed the Norway international on a list of potential forward targets as they consider replacements for Chris Wood, last season’s leading scorer who is out injured.”
Will Wolves get £40m for Strand Larsen or is that wishful thinking? 👀
The asking price has been reported amid interest from West Ham…
Keeping Jorgen Strand Larsen in the summer was a big win for the Wanderers following offers around £55 million from Newcastle.
However, in hindsight, the club might have been wise to accept that offer, as fans have begun looking forward to the possibility of one thing with Larsen.
Wolves fans want Jorgen Strand Larsen bidding war
When the news of Forest’s interest in Jorgen Strand Larsen dropped, Wolves fans were quick to react.
Despite the forward being one of the Wanderers’ best players last season, his poor form this campaign has not helped his reputation among supporters. The Norwegian was apparently booed by his own fans against Manchester United.
With yet another team looking at Strand Larsen, the Old Gold faithful are getting excited about one prospect: a potential bidding war.
One fan responded to the news by saying, “Let the bidding begin… £40m..I have a £40m bid anyone…”
Another followed that with, “Bidding warrrr,” and three heart-eye emojis.
“So we’ve got West Ham, Palace and Forest all after him, maybe more. We should and other clubs would get our asking price of 40m+ with a bidding war… But my guess is we’ll give a loan with an option to a club that doesn’t take the option,” one fan commented.
Do you think Jorgen Strand Larsen has downed tools this season?
Perhaps the failed summer move is still on his mind…
Meanwhile, a different fan said, “Bidding war is exactly what we need. As long as we don’t end up with Michail Antonio up front for the rest of the season.”
“Newcastle before… Now West Ham… Now Forest? It just gets better” one Wolves fan claimed.
Another stated, “We are cooking let the bidding commence.”
And a couple of other supporters suggested the prospect of taking a player from Nottingham Forest by saying, “£45m plus Chris Wood?” alongside “Make Chris Wood part of the deal, and let’s shake hands. 2-year contract – takes us back up.”
However, with Chris Wood expected to be sidelined following his recent surgery, that would be an unlikely deal to make.
