Wolves are reportedly interested in signing Alex Oxlade-Chameberlain from Liverpool.

According to the Mirror, the club are ready to launch another raid on the Reds after snapping up young defender Ki-Jana Hoever yesterday.

Supposedly Wolves are looking to take advantage of the fact that Thiago Alcantara is now at Anfield, theoretically limiting Oxlade-Chamberlain’s game time further.

The report from the Mirror claims Liverpool would want to recoup as much of the £25 million they paid for the 27-year-old as possible.

Chamberlain has been with Liverpool since the summer of 2017 after completing an eyebrow-raising transfer from Arsenal, signing a five-year contract worth £120,000-a-week (BBC Sport).

In his time at Anfield so far, Chamberlain has shown glimpses of his best form, but has ultimately struggled with injuries.

He was particularly influential in Liverpool’s run to the Champions League final in 2018, but a serious knee injury against Manchester City stopped him facing AS Roma and then Real Madrid. It also ruled him out of the World Cup.

The star has clocked up 87 appearances for the Reds, scoring 13 goals and making 10 assists.

Wolves fans on social media have had a mixed reaction to the Chamberlain links.

Some reckon the player’s injury record means a move should not be pursued, while others believe he could bring something different to the table:
