Wolverhampton Wanderers have been reacting to a report claiming the club are leading the race for Joao Palhinha.

Correio de Manha have stated that Wolves are in a three-team chase for the 25-year-old along with Everton and Leicester City.

Palhinha played a starring role for Sporting CP in their superb surge to the Primeira Liga title in 2020/21.

And it seems his efforts have not gone unnoticed.

Apparently he could cost in the region of €30 million/£25.7 million.

The claim comes amid continued speculation about the future of Ruben Neves.

It was claimed yesterday (the Times) that Arsenal are interested in the midfielder, and earlier reports have suggested Wolves do expect to sell for around £35 million (The Athletic).

On social media, some fans have been reacting to the claim Wolves are leading the charge for Palhinha.
