Leander Dendoncker has suggested Wolves still need some more experienced players before the transfer window closes.

The new Premier League season gets underway this weekend, with Wolves taking on Leicester City on Saturday.

Some fans have been feeling a little worried following a lack of transfer activity in the last few weeks.

Goalkeeper Jose Sa was the last player to sign for the club on July 15.

The defence has looked a little vulnerable in pre-season, and lots of fans have been imploring Fosun to get busy again.

And it seems to be a feeling shared by Dendoncker, who has said (via Express & Star): “There were a lot of young players on the bench (against Celta Vigo).

“That is obviously good for them but we might need some more experienced players who can help us to have more depth in our squad. That would be good.”

Matt Wild did suggest during the ‘Ask Wolves’ initiative that things could be done in August, pointing to Euro 2020 and the Olympics as possible barriers to making quick signings.
