Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have today been reacting to a claim the club are keeping tabs on Lorenzo Insigne.
Journalist Ekrem Konur tweeted earlier that Wolves are monitoring the Italian winger.
My Revenge On Ben Foster
His contract expires at the end of the season and so far, there have been no positive responses from him to Napoli’s offers.
Crystal Palace are also watching the situation closely.
Insigne has been with Napoli since the age of 15, making his first-team debut in 2010.
He’s gone on to make over 400 appearances in total, and has won two Coppa Italias and one Superoppa Italiana.
He has started off the current campaign in good form, scoring twice and making three assists in six appearances.
His contributions have helped Napoli to the top of Serie A on maximum points (18).
Wolves being linked to Insigne certainly comes out of the blue.
The 30-year-old remains a top-quality player, and the idea he could be available on a free transfer might be very tempting for Wolves.
It remains to seen if this will go anywhere, with Wolves needing to take decisions on loan stars Hwang Hee-chan and Francisco Trincao at the end of the season.
On social media, fans have been giving their reactions to the bold claim from journalist Konur.
Many rate Insigne, but few are optimistic it will happen:
