Wolves fans have been reacting to a claim that Bournemouth striker Joshua King is a January transfer target.

According to The Athletic, the Cherries star is being looked at by the club as possible cover for the injured Raul Jimenez.

There is no word on when the Mexican will return, but it doesn’t seem it will be any time soon.

A host of names have been linked with Wolves since the 29-year-old fractured his skull, but this is the first mention of King, who is expected to depart the Vitality.

The star’s contract runs out next summer, so the Cherries are under pressure to sell or see him leave for free.

King is obviously very familiar with the Premier League, and has a record of 48 goals in 161 games, as well as 15 assists.

But Wolves would likely face a fair bit of competition if they do go in for the £45,000-a-week star (Spotrac), with West Ham United having been heavily linked previously.
