Wolves fans have been reacting to a report that has claimed the club have put an offer to free agent striker Graziano Pelle.

Calciomercato have reported the veteran Italian is on Wolves’ radar, after running down his contract with Chinese Super League outfit Shandong Luneng.

Pelle had been in the Far East since the summer of 2016 after leaving Southampton, and scored 63 goals in 132 appearances.

Supposedly, Pelle – who has 20 caps for his country – is the subject of interest from two Premier League sides, with West Ham also in the hunt.

Wolves are lacking firepower at the moment, with Raul Jimenez recovering from a fractured skull.

As a result of that huge blow, young Fabio Silva is the only recognised striker currently available to Nuno Espirito Santo.

The 18-year-old has shown signs of promise, but is obviously very inexperienced and still very raw.

Many have been clamouring for the club to do business in January, and there have certainly been plenty of links.

Supposed interest in Pelle, now 35, certainly comes out of the blue though, and it seems glancing at social media that there aren’t too many fans open to the idea of the club signing him even for the short-term.

It seems Pelle’s foray to the CSL is a bit off-putting for some:
