Wolves fans have been reacting to claims in Spain that the club have made an offer for AZ Alkmaar winger Oussama Idrissi.

El Desmarque have reported the club are battling with Sevilla and Napoli for the 24-year-old’s services, and that a 16 million/£14.6 million bid has been tabled.

Idrissi, who is Dutch-born but represents Morocco at international level along with Romain Saiss, has been making waves over in the Eredivisie since joining the club in January 2018 from Groningen.

The tricky winger, who can operate on either flank, bagged 17 goals in all competitions in 2018/19 and has scored 37 goals in total for AZ in 98 appearances, which is a pretty decent return for a wide player. He has also contributed 25 assists for the club.

So far in 2020/21 Idrissi has made a couple of appearances in Champions League qualifying matches, but has been suspiciously absent from AZ’s first two matchday squads in the league.

With Wolves having lost Diogo Jota to Liverpool, it seems Idrissi may well be a means of replacing the Portugal international.

The defeat to Wolves was very poor and has perhaps just ignited the need for one more new face before the window closes.

Some Wolves fans on social media gave a generally positive reaction to the link to Idrissi:
