Wolves look set to strengthen their Portuguese contingent once more, with reports claiming a deal for Nelson Semedo is nearing completion.
According to The Guardian, the right-back is Molineux-bound, with the player set to come to the Black Country in the coming days to finalise a transfer.

Apparently a deal will set the club back around £35 million, and everything seems in place for Semedo to become Nuno Espirito Santo’s sixth signing of the window.
Semedo joined Barcelona in the summer of 2017 from Benfica and has made 124 appearances for the club to date.
He’s scored two goals and made 11 assists, suggesting a creative spark that Wolves will need after losing Matt Doherty.
The 26-year-old, who is part of the Gestifute agency headed by Jorge Mendes, also has 14 caps for Portugal.

The player has previously been linked with Tottenham Hotspur.
On social media, Wolves fans have been going wild over the links to Semedo, with many firmly believing he could be one of the very best Portuguese additions the club have had in recent years:

Would be the answer to @WWFC RWB and definitely an upgrade on Doc, but so surprised to hear Mendes is involved! 😂😂😂

I’m really happy with this. The reported €40M is a bit too much, because he had an average last season at Barcelona, but I think he has lost his confidence at Barca that he had at Benfica back then. Still very talented player. If we get Todibo on loan, that would be great TW.

Doherty to Semedo is a huge upgrade. It’s another level. Very pleased with this window if we can complete this one #wwfc https://t.co/07xFhLnMMF
