Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have reacting to reports in Portugal that have claimed the club are set to buy Vitinha at the end of the season.
Record claim Wolves know they will trigger his buy option, which they say is worth around €15 million/£13.7 million.
FC Porto expect to receive a total of £30 million for Vitinha and Danilo Pereira, who is on loan at Paris Saint-Germain.
The news comes as a little bit of a surprise.
Vitinha has struggled to make much of an impact this season at Molineux.
Unfortunately he just hasn’t had that many opportunities from Nuno Espirito Santo, with Ruben Neves, Leander Dendoncker and Joao Moutinho his trusted trio.
Vitinha has had to bide his time on the bench, and it had looked as though he would struggle to turn his move permanent at the end of the season.
But it looks like Wolves may be set to spring a surprise.
On social media, fans have been reacting to the claim.
Opinion is a little split, but most people appear to be on board with the potential permanent signing of Vitinha.
It seems some reckon he’s worth a punt given his potential and the price that’s been mentioned:
He should get more chances!!

I think he has got what it takes in a season or two but we need to sign a player who is as good as moutinho was in his first season. He isn’t yet that player

He is a bright player but theres simply no way he can be a starter in our formation. for his game to work we would have to change to a 4-3-3 with him at CAM. Vitinha playing 90 minutes as a CM is going to be a defensive nightmare

Sign him up, looks a quality player in the making…

Makes perfect sense. Need to see more of him for the remainder though. https://t.co/gNdlNHbhIu

Fantastic news if true.
I know we’ve not seen a lot of him but the prospect of him and Neves running the MF is an exciting one.
Exactly the type of playmaker #wwfc need if Nuno wants us to become more progressive. https://t.co/BTL5U9IE3v
