The end of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ search for a new manager has seemingly drawn nearer.
The Telegraph have reported today that Bruno Lage is now poised to take over at Molineux following his work permit hearing today.
The former Benfica boss has been the hot tip to replace Nuno Espirito Santo.

And it seems the 45-year-old will indeed be pitching up in the Black Country.
Today’s work permit hearing is viewed as a formality, and there are expected to be no hurdles.
Lage will be arriving on the recommendation of super-agent Jorge Mendes, who has facilitated several deals for Wolves over the past few years.
An official announcement is apparently not imminent.
There are still things to be sorted such as his contract and his backroom staff.

But it appears the wheels are very much in motion now.
On social media, some Wolves fans have expressed their excitement about the development.
Having had time to process the departure of Nuno, it seems many are now looking forward to a potentially exciting new era under Lage:
