Wolves fans have been discussing whether Patrick Cutrone should be given another chance by Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Italian striker is currently on loan at Fiorentina, where he’s been since last January, but is expected to cut his stint short.

The 23-year-old was due to play for the Serie A side until the end of 2020/21, but La Nazione report Cutrone is being targeting by Torino and Napoli.

It comes after a really underwhelming start to the 2020/21 season in which he hasn’t started a game for La Viola.

Following his £16 million move from AC Milan (BBC Sport), Cutrone made 24 appearances for Wolves and scored just three goals.

The form of Raul Jimenez made things tricky for him at Molineux, and he found the transition to English football tough.

Now, Jimenez is nursing a fractured skull and Nuno Espirito Santo only has Fabio Silva at his disposal.

The situation has prompted fans to implore the club to sign a new striker this month, and it remains to be seen if Wolves do any business.

But some have actually been discussing the idea of Cutrone coming back to his parent club and having a potential impact in the absence of Jimenez.

It seems that will be unlikely, although the Express & Star have reported it isn’t out of the question, but some Wolves fans have been making the case on social media:
