Wolves fans believe one thing should happen with Pablo Sarabia as new transfer claim made

Wolves star Pablo Sarabia could well be playing his final games for the club.

As things currently stand, the Spaniard will leave Molineux this summer when his contract expires.

Pablo Sarabia was a January 2023 arrival from Paris Saint-Germain, arriving with several others while the club was under serious threat of relegation.

He is now coming to the end of that two-and-a-half year deal he signed.

And the talk for most of the season has been that Sarabia will move on, rather than extend.

Before Matheus Cunha signed his new contract at the club, Sarabia was Wolves’ highest earner.

It was reported recently that Sarabia could be offloaded by Wolves due to his high wages, with Cunha and captain Nelson Semedo also likely to go.

Sarabia has interest from Sevilla – and Wolves fans have now been reacting to a new claim that an agreement is already in place for him to join them on a free this summer.

When Sarabia plays for Wolves, he often prompts a big response on social media.

Some feel that he regularly underwhelms and that he struggles with the physicality of the Premier League.

Others believe that Sarabia is a luxury player, and someone who can do things that few others in the squad can do.

On social media earlier today, fans were reacting to the claim that Sarabia could already be set to join Sevilla this summer.

And many do now feel that it’s the right time for Sarabia to go as opposed to him signing an extension.

@GillDeangill30 wrote: “A good move for all involved, need him off the wage bill, highest earner and average at best.”

@C8JP8S said: “Deserved more game time and credit but at his age I can see why with VP wanting a summer to shape the team to suit what he wants out of them.”

@cyanlight_ said: “Right player, wrong time ultimately for Sarabia at Wolves imo. He would’ve been the missing link in Nuno’s team if we had him a couple of years earlier, will miss him.”

@Gman2307 said: “That will help with the PSR with the reported £100k a week wages. Probably best for all parties.”

@RusselMackuin said: “Quality player, mixed performances for us. We need a refresh to get VP what he wants. So perhaps time to go and we move on and get those wages deployed elsewhere.”

Sarabia Wolves exit is best for all parties

It is hard to make a case for Wolves offering Sarabia a contract extension, amid reports he is heading to Sevilla this summer.

It just feels Sarabia moving on is the right move for all parties.

He is on massive wages at Molineux, with journalist Liam Keen recently stating that people wouldn’t believe the kind of money he’s on.

And at the end of the day, Sarabia just hasn’t shown enough in a Wolves shirt to warrant staying.

He has had some excellent moments, undoubtedly. That goal against Tottenham Hotspur at Molineux last season was an incredible show of technical quality.

Appearances – 68
Goals – 6
Assists – 11

But Sarabia has also often frustrated, and it has seemed at times like his game isn’t so suited to the English game.

Going back to Spain could be a great next move for him, with La Liga not quite as physical as the Premier League.
