Wolves fans are sharing an interesting position on Emmanuel Agbadou after surprise transfer claim

With the transfer window now just weeks away, reports linking players with exits from Wolves are sure to be frequent – and Emmanuel Agbadou could be someone who departs.

After defeat to Manchester United on Monday, Wolves remain bottom of the table with just two points from 15 games.

Edwards has suggested previously that Wolves’ January business will be dictated by their league position, so that will make it a very interesting window.

Who is the one player you want Wolves to sign in the January transfer window? 🤑

Surely Dwight McNeil has to be up there… 🤔

At the moment, it’s all a bit up in the air.

But it does seem highly likely that Championship life beckons next year – and that would require Wolves to sell some high profile players in January so that they don’t lose too much value going into the summer.

And one player who may yet leave is Emmanuel Agbadou, who is a target for Besiktas.

Agbadou was a breath of fresh air last season after he arrived midway through the campaign from Reims.

However, this season it’s been a totally different story for him.

Agbadou had a poor pre-season, but Wolves fans rather brushed that off and tipped him to recapture the level he showed in 2024/25.

But unfortunately, Agbadou had an absolutely shocking start to the season, and was regularly criticised for poor performances which included mistakes.

However, since Edwards came in, Agbadou has actually picked up a bit.

On social media, fans have been reacting to the claim that Besiktas are interested in signing Agbadou in January.

@JoshDownes2001: “By far our best defender Would be insane in the Championship if he wants to stay.”

@Wolvesayewe08: “Hate to see him leave my favourite signing over last 2 years.”

@whippy_1: “I know that this player is good but not performing. That’s the frustrating part.”

@geenar34: “The annoying thing with Agba is we know exactly how good he can be… The hate towards him is embarrassing.”

@DomDanbury: “Improved recently, I’d keep him personally unless Santi comes back in.”

@fedsgotJayden: “Would be an awful decision to let him go, we know how good he can be and there hasn’t been a single Wolves player who has been good this season, so why get rid of one of the few who we know can actually be solid?”

@jay_wwfc07: “Feel like the comments don’t do him justice. Yes he was poor for the first 5/6 games but then he lost his place, earned it back and has played well recently. Don’t think he’s warranted the hate anymore.”

Wolves should try and keep Agbadou

Yes, Agbadou had an unbelievably shocking start to the 2025/26 season.

But actually, this is a player it might be better to keep hold of.

Emmanuel Agbadou has been linked with a move to Turkey, and he is reportedly open to making the switch…

How much do you think Emmanuel Agbadou is worth, and would you sell him? 💰

The Championship appears to be Wolves likely destination next year, and we all know how physical that league is.

Wolves fans have seen how strong and aggressive Agbadou can be and so, it actually may serve the team well to keep hold of him.

Now obviously, Agbadou could turn around and agitate for an exit. That would be disappointing, it would change the picture and Wolves would probably have to try and sell him
