Wolves fans are all saying the same thing after Luke Cundle signed for Millwall – one thing is clear

News emerged from Wolves on Friday afternoon regarding a player sale when supporters are craving additions to the squad.

Wolves fans are desperate for new signings to arrive at Molineux and Vitor Pereira wants three new players through the door before the deadline.

So far, Emmanuel Agbadou is the club’s only arrival and he’s enjoyed an excellent start to life in Wolverhampton.

However, frustrations are growing among the fanbase, as despite sitting 18th in the table, there are no signs of further additions.

Wolves were pushing hard to sign Kevin Danso from RC Lens but that deal now looks dead in the water as Juventus have swooped for Danso on loan.

Transfers into the club could determine whether survival is possible but on Friday, Pereira waved goodbye to an academy graduate.

Wolves fans react after Luke Cundle seals £1m transfer to Millwall

Luke Cundle’s exit has been talked about throughout this window. The 22-year-old is yet to feature for Wolves this term, with not even Pereira handing him a chance.

Several Championship sides were interested in Cundle, including his former club Swansea City, though it’s another outfit who have won the race for him.

On Thursday, it emerged that Millwall had agreed a £1 million transfer for Cundle and now, his exit has been confirmed after 10 years in Wolverhampton.

This move hands the midfielder an opportunity to play regular first-team football, something he never had at Wolves, and the fans have made their feelings known about his departure.

The resounding response was that Cundle would have been perfect next season, as many supporters envisage Woves playing Championship football.

“Good luck, Luke… Would have been perfect for us next season in the Championship,” one fan wrote.

“He would have served us well in the Championship, can’t wait till he bags the winner next season,” another commented.

“We will be seeing him next season,” a third said while a fourth replied: “Should be keeping players like him for when we go down.”

“See you next year Luke,” a sixth wrote while another said: “He’ll be scoring the winner against us next season.”

The lack of transfer activity will relegate Wolves

Wolves fans directed their anger towards Fosun during the defeat against Arsenal on Saturday, demanding the club spend some money.

The constant penny-pinching and asset stripping only see Wolves trending in the wrong direction, and that is down.

Pereira needs the backing of Fosun in the window and to sign at least three players before the deadline, otherwise, relegation looks nailed on.

There are only so many times a club can consistently fail in the transfer window and get away with it. Wolves have avoided the relegation trap door previously but they may not be so lucky this time around.

Whether the Wanderers suffer relegation this season or in the future, it feels like only a matter of time before they’re playing Championship football, unless there is a complete change in strategy.
