Wolves fans adamant on who is Fosun’s best-ever January signing

Wolves have had quite a bit of success in the January transfer window over the last few years, and there have been plenty of top signings made.

Rob Edwards will be hoping history repeats itself this winter, but his admission about Wolves’ spending ability does not offer much confidence.

While incomings are typically the most important part of a transfer window, the Old Gold may be set to lose quite a few players too.

Jorgen Strand Larsen is one of those who continue to be linked away, as Everton are the latest to register interest in the forward.

And if Larsen is to leave, Fosun will have to pull off another January success to replace him, akin to the shortlist of players mentioned below.

Fill in the blank: Jorgen Strand Larsen is now worth £___million.

The January window can often be the hardest to get business done, as clubs do not want to lose top players halfway through a season.

However, throughout the last ten years, the Old Gold have seemingly managed to do quite well when buying.

There has been lots of upper-echelon talent coming through the doors of Molineux, and they have helped the Wanderers achieve or stay on track for their goals, and the best purchase has now been revealed.

At Molineux News, we have been running a poll to find out who Wolves fans believe is their best January signing since Fosun became owners.

The poll was conducted on our TalkingPoints platform, which is free to sign up to and allows fans to express their honest opinions on everything Wolves!

The results are now in, and the winner was made absolutely clear by the margin of votes.

The poll is still currently active, so if you feel differently, make sure to drop a vote and a comment below to let us know why.

While Matheus Cunha ultimately turned out to be a resounding success, that first-half season at the club looked like things could have been much different for the Brazilian.

We all know how good Matheus Cunha ultimately turned out to be, but that did not always look to be the case.

In his first few months in the Premier League, Cunha struggled massively to make an impact. In 17 appearances he scored just two goals and racked up zero assists.

Those kinds of numbers are not associated with the player he would end up being. Over his next 65 Premier League games for the Old Gold, he managed 40 goal contributions (27 goals and 13 assists).

It just goes to show that sometimes players need time to adapt to their new club, and it makes reports linking talent such as Fer Lopez away from Wolves look foolish.

Hopefully, this January window can unearth yet another Matheus Cunha-like signing, and the Brazilian could be usurped on the rankings in the next few years.
