Wolves look like they will have a battle on their hands to sign Serhou Guirassy, with several Premier League clubs going to watch him in action at the weekend.
Gary O’Neil is thought to want to really sign a new striker in January, so that he can get Matheus Cunha playing a free role more often.
Yesterday, it was reported that Wolves could now consider offloading Sasa Kalajdzic and Fabio Silva.
Wolves won’t have a great deal to spend, but selling players should allow them to bring in new faces.
One such new face could be Guirassy, who apparently has a £15 million release clause in his Stuttgart contract.
But Wolves will have their work cut out given what 90min have reported…
Wolves target Serhou Guirassy watched by several Premier League clubs on Sunday

90min have reported about Guirassy and how the interest in him is now really mounting ahead of the January transfer window.
Apparently, a number of Premier League clubs went to watch the Guinea international play against Bayern Munich on Sunday in the Bundesliga.
Manchester United, Fulham and West Ham United all had representatives present for the game, as did Italian giants AC Milan.
Guirassy was shackled pretty well by Bayern centre-backs Kim Min-jae and Dayot Upamecano, but the striker is likely going to have offers next month given the season he has had. So far, he’s bagged 18 goals in just 15 games across all competitions.
Wolves were not mentioned as having scouts present on Sunday.
But it has been made very clear that O’Neil wants a new centre-forward, so Guirassy could well be worth keeping an eye on.
Wolves have big battle on their hands for Guirassy
So Premier League clubs had scouts watching Guirassy on Sunday, which possibly indicates that approaches will soon be made.
Manchester United showing interest is not particularly ideal for Wolves. They definitely need a new number nine with Rasmus Hojlund struggling, and Guirassy could be a genuine option for them.
While the Red Devils are not the same force these days as they were years ago, they are still obviously a huge club and are likely to appeal to the 27-year-old.
But, if Kalajdzic and/or Silva are moved on by the club then Guirassy would surely get more game time at Molineux than he would Old Trafford, and he would surely be a top addition.
The one drawback though is that the player will be on AFCON duty in January so Wolves could not count on him straight away.
