Wolves love to sign young gems and develop them into household names, but it seems the club will have a very big challenge to land one youngster in particular.
Over the years, there has been a real focus from Wolves on buying youngsters from overseas with the intention of developing them.
There have been plenty of success stories. The likes of Pedro Neto, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Joao Gomes have all excelled at Molineux after being plucked from relative obscurity, and the first two players made the club a lot of money.
Wolves continue to scour the globe to unearth footballing gems – and South America is a region the club have long had eyes on.
And one player Wolves have been linked with this year is Breno Bidon – but actually signing him could now prove to be a real challenge.
Wolves target Breno Bidon attracting attention

In the summer, it was claimed that Wolves were looking at Bidon.
It was also suggested that Wolves were in the hunt for Bidon along with Arsenal and Benfica.
The midfielder – who plays for Corinthians – is seen as one of the best prospects in Brazil.
Naturally, given the club’s transfer MO, Wolves are keen. But Bidon’s performances of late have now brought him attention from several other clubs.
According to UOL Esporte, Bidon is now the subject of interest from both Manchester United and Manchester City.
Serie A champions Napoli are keen too, while Wolves are mentioned.
Furthermore, it’s claimed the youngster has offers from Zenit, PSV Eindhoven – who have apparently proposed £7.8 million – and the Middle East.
Why is Breno Bidon so sought after?
Bidon is attracting attention now following some really strong performances this year for Corinthians.
He’s made 43 appearances across all competitions, for almost 3000 minutes of game time. He is certainly trusted.
Brazilian publication Lance! recently crunched some of his numbers for Corinthians in 2025, which include:
- 29 decisive passes (0.7 per game)
- 5 big chances created
- 29 shots (5 on target)
- 4.7 duels won per game
- 3.9 balls recovered per game
Lance! also published quotes from Corinthians’ assistant manager, who believes Bidon is well on course to become a full Brazil international soon.
He said: “Breno is a wild card. We managed to put him in any role. He is a player who adapts easily. He comes in a great crescent, if he maintains this level, you can be sure that his path is to the Brazilian national team, for everything he offers to the team in the defensive and offensive part.
“I see him much more focused, understanding the club’s moment and its situation better. His path is very successful, largely because of his attitude. I see that, in this absence of Garro, we managed to put him closer to the goal and he maintains the same level.”
Wolves would have to free up a non-homegrown player slot if they were to sign Bidon in January.
But given the interest from other top clubs, Wanderers may struggle to get anywhere close to sign this fantastic young talent.
