Wolves eye Champions League-winning striker who once scored a hat-trick and an own goal at Molineux

Wolves are said to have their eye on a striker who once scored a hat-trick at Molineux.

Wanderers are looking to preserve their Premier League status this season, after a very turbulent campaign.

The club have struggled a lot, and Vitor Pereira is now doing his level best to guide the club to safety.

At the moment, Wolves are six points clear of the relegation zone.

Wolves remaining in the Premier League is paramount, because dropping into the Championship would have big financial consequences, and also mean the club wouldn’t be able to attract to players.

There have already been a few transfer links recently. Wolves are said to like Koni De Winter from Genoa.

Wolves have also been tipped to move for Victor Lindelof, who is out of contract at Manchester United this summer.

It seems that Wolves may be in the market for a new striker this summer.

With Matheus Cunha likely to leave Wolves via his release clause, another option will more than likely be needed – and reportedly, the club hold an interest in Tammy Abraham.

It’s been claimed by Calciomercato that Wolves are one of a few clubs interest in Tammy Abraham, who is currently on loan at AC Milan from AS Roma.

Abraham is set to return to Roma this summer, with Milan having already decided they won’t be purchasing him.

The reason he headed out on loan in the first place was because Roma sign Artem Dovbyk.

It would seem that his future is not up in the air, with Calciomercato reporting there is ‘little market’ for Abraham in Italy.

But there is interest from the Premier League, with Wolves, Everton and West Ham United all keen.

It is stated that West Ham currently lead the chase for Abraham, who would be open the returning to the Premier League.

Apparently, the Champions League winner (2021) would prefer to join a ‘top-tier’ club.

Wolves target Tammy Abraham has scored a hat-trick at Molineux

It’s interesting to see that Wolves are in the hunt for Abraham, who has actually scored a hat-trick at Molineux previously.

The striker was playing for Chelsea back in the 2019/20 season, and made headlines for scoring three against the Old Gold in a 5-2 win for the Blues.

Appearances – 89
Goals – 26
Assists – 5

He scored twice in the space of seven first-half minutes, after Fikayo Tomori opened with a strike from distance.

He then scored his hat-trick goal with great finish after beating Conor Coady.

It was a very eventful game for Abraham, who actually also put through his own net that day. A Romain Saiss header hit his hand before crossing the line, and he was credited with an own goal.
