Vitor Pereira has experienced his fair share of heartache during the summer transfer window, but finally, Wolves’ business is falling into place.
On Thursday, Wolves agreed a £10m transfer for David Moller Wolfe from AZ Alkmaar, with the 23-year-old currently undergoing his medical.
Wolfe is seen as a strong replacement for Rayan Ait-Nouri, whose exit to Manchester City left a gaping hole at wing-back.
The Old Gold also have their attention firmly on finding a successor to Nelson Semedo, after his exit was officially confirmed this week.
Wolves came close to signing Marc Pubill before Atletico Madrid swooped in, and now, they’ll be hoping history doesn’t repeat itself.

Wolves reach an agreement for Sevilla’s Juanlu Sanchez
On a day when Wolves set their asking price for Jorgen Strand Larsen, they also accelerated in their pursuit of a new right wing-back.
As reported by Orazio Accomando on X, Wolves were keen on submitting a €17m (£14.7m) offer for Sevilla right-back Juanlu Sanchez, who also had a ‘preliminary agreement’ with Napoli, but they never finalised a deal.
Just hours after that news broke, Napoli Magazine revealed that Wolves reached an ‘agreement’ over the transfer of Sanchez, giving Napoli a huge decision to make.
The 21-year-old has been ‘waiting a month’ for Napoli to seal his signature, but after the Old Gold saw their offer accepted, they now have to decide whether to match it or withdraw from negotiations.
Following the drama surrounding Pubill, Wolves will hope that the Italian side end their pursuit of the Spanish defender, allowing Pereira and his recruitment team to finally get a right wing-back over the line.
Who is Juanlu Sanchez?
Wolves have kept a lot of their transfer business under wraps this summer, perhaps to prevent other top clubs from swooping in.
That is the case with Sanchez, who has been dubbed ‘incredible’ for his impressive performances at Sevilla.
In the 2024/25 campaign, the 2003-born star made 35 appearances in all competitions, scoring five and assisting five.
Sanchez has been part of the Sevilla setup since 2015, joining as an 11-year-old before rising to prominence in the first-team.

After graduating from the academy, the defender has played 74 times for the senior side while amassing 14 goal involvements from right-back.
Sanchez was also part of Spain’s under-21 side that lost against England in the European Championships, playing alongside Hugo Bueno.
Once on the radar of Manchester United and Real Madrid, Wolves are hoping Sanchez is finally the player to replace Semedo and become the latest export from Spain.
