Wolves defender Maximilian Kilman has told of how he actually sustained his ankle injury in april.
The centre-back was forced to miss the club’s final six Premier League games, after pulling up in the Easter open training session.

Wolves recently issued an injury update on the 25-year-old, stating that ‘he will be out of a boot soon and he can then start to progress his rehabilitation for an ankle ligament injury. He is expected to return at the start of next season’.
There hasn’t been much information about Kilman’s injury up to now.
But the player has sat down to do an interview with The Athletic – and he revealed just how it happened.
He said: “It was in training, I jumped up and my stud got caught in Chiquinho’s boot, I landed awkwardly and just twisted it.
“I heard a little ping, the ligament came off. I was in denial, I thought I’d just walk it off and carry on… but yeah, it didn’t work.”
Wolves ultimately really missed Kilman while he was on the sidelines.

The club didn’t win any of their final six games, losing four and drawing two.
And the team didn’t keep a single clean sheet.
That poor run of form perhaps indicates what a key play Kilman has become for Wanderers.
In the first half of the season, he was absolutely sensational playing as a right-sided centre-back.
He oozed confidence, relishing the fact he was playing week in, week out.
His form dipped in February and March, which was a real shame as he was being looked at as a potential call-up for England at the time.
Wolves need Kilman back on song for 2022/23 after frustrating injury setback
Wolves ended up really missing Kilman during his absence.
Potentially, the club may have finished with a couple more points on the board had he been in the team.
Hopefully everything will go smoothly with his recovery.

He is arguably now Wolves’ best defender, and Bruno Lage needs him back in the heart of his defence and in form.
And fans hope to again see the version of Kilman that was so consistently excellent in the first half of 2021/22.
