The current Wolves squad could yet see a lot of changes to it before the transfer window closes – and now one ace could be on his way out.
Vitor Pereira is desperate for more new signings, with most of them to come in before the first Premier league game against Manchester City ideally.
So far, Wolves have signed just three new players: Fer Lopez, Jhon Arias and David Moller Wolfe.
But a host of players have been offloaded, meaning Wanderers have to get busy to ensure Pereira has a competitive squad.
But more players could still depart.
And now, it has been claimed that Hugo Bueno might be a player who could depart.
Hugo Bueno could leave Wolves after David Moller Wolfe signing

Hugo Bueno spent last season on loan at Feyenoord over in the Eredivisie.
This decision was made after he struggled for regular minutes in competition with Rayan Ait-Nouri in 2023/24.
It was a productive spell for Bueno, who made 30 appearances for the club.
His future has now come into focus following the sale of Ait-Nouri earlier this summer. Molineux News learned earlier this year that Bueno had a genuine chance of become Ait-Nouri’s successor in 2025/26, but Wolves signing Moller Wolfe appears to have changed the situation somewhat.
On Wolves landing Moller Wolfe recently, Liam Keen said of Bueno on the most recent E&S podcast: “The movement and the direction is starting to look towards Bueno potentially getting a move. I think the market for him, if he is to go permanently, would be this summer, rather than any other summer.
“You’ll get good money for him. I think there’s a potential one that can go, between now and the end of the season.
“It depends how happy Vitor would be with the options he’s got there. Rodrigo can play there, other than that you’re sort of moving people out of position.
“But I don’t think Hugo will want to be back-up. I think he’s ready to play and start consistently. But that’s one I think could move, without putting a guarantee on it at this stage.”
“In my opinion I want him around the place and want him as part of the squad. But if Wolves need to bring a little bit of money in and the player wants to play then that’s one I can see happening.”
Wolves should look to keep Bueno
It would be a shame to see Bueno leave, having done well out on loan at Feyenoord last term.
A lot of Wolves fans are curious to see how he has developed, and Wolves don’t exactly have enormous depth right now.
Wolfe and Bueno – who joined the club in 2019 – competing for the left wing-back position would be ideal. But it is sounding like Bueno might not be up for that.
Keen has said before how Bueno is desperate for regular football now after his loan move.
Hugo Bueno for Feyenoord last season |
Appearances – 30 |
Minutes played – 1751 |
Goals – 0 |
Assists – 4 |
So the signing of Wolfe might just be something that actually pushes him out.
Wolves ought to try and persuade him to stay though – Bueno could always just see how things go in the first half of the season before deciding what to do in January.
But if Bueno is to go, then one club worth keeping an eye on is Feyenoord, the club he just went on loan to. Robin van Persie has hailed Bueno, and the youngster may well fancy Champions League football once again.
Perhaps Bueno will wait to see if they will beat Fenerbahce in their third round qualifier and make it into the group stages.
