Wolves have already raked in £62.5 million by selling Matheus Cunha and will soon make even more money when Rayan Ait-Nouri departs- and the club could also soon get a small windfall.
Wolves have had a busy start to the summer so far, but the activity has been all about exits up to now.
Cunha and Ait-Nouri have gone, and Pablo Sarabia and Craig Dawson are leaving as free agents. Carlos Forbs won’t return after his unsuccessful loan move, and Nelson Semedo could also be on his way out of Wolves with his contract expiring.
Matt Hobbs has also left the club following a reshuffle of the recruitment department.
Hobbs did some really good work during his time as sporting director.
He was mainly responsible for players coming and going – and it seems something he did a couple of years ago may now pay dividends.
Tottenham eye Nathan Collins, who Wolves have a sell-on clause over

It has been reported by the Hounslow Herald that Tottenham Hotspur are going to be triggering the release clause of Thomas Frank to make him their new manager.
Frank has apparently informed Brentford he wants to go, and it’s now a matter of time until he succeeds the recently sacked Ange Postecoglou.
And according to the Hounslow Herald, Frank could try to take a couple of players with him.
Those are Bryan Mbeumo and Nathan Collins, who was offloaded on the watch of Julen Lopetegui. The Spaniard had not been convinced by him after taking over mid-season, and greenlit his sale.
Spurs moving for Collins would be significant for Wolves, because the club inserted a sell-on clause according to The Athletic, which is active for any move he makes from Brentford to another club.
And at the time of Collins sale, Hobbs did hint at the sell-on clause as well, saying (via Wolves official): “Sometimes a deal arrives which works for both parties. Nathan can go and get his football and we protect ourselves in the long-term, so when he achieves what I think he’ll achieve, we’ll also see a benefit from that.
“While we’re not happy to lose a player like Nathan, sometimes situations mean you have to allow these deals to happen, while making sure you protect the club at the same time.”
Unfortunately, it was never disclosed how much the sell-on clause was worth exactly.

Wolves wise to insert Collins sell-on clause
The writer of the Hounslow Herald’s article, Sam Tabuteau, says on X that Spurs will likely only push for Collins in the event that Cristian Romero leaves the club.
So a potential windfall is by no means a given for Wolves at this stage.
But it’s interesting to consider, especially because every penny counts for Wanderers in the transfer market. Collins joining Spurs could well help Wolves get a deal they’re going for a player over the line.
Collins – who actually wanted to stay at Wolves – has enjoyed a decent couple of years at Brentford since leaving in a deal worth £23 million, and it’s good to know a sell-on clause exists.
