Wolves have been linked with a player recently who could replace Max Kilman – and his club are said to be under financial pressure.
Today has been another big day in the transfer market for Wolves.
After months of speculation, the club have reached an agreement with West Ham United for the transfer of captain Max Kilman.
Kilman, a £40,000 purchase from Maidenhead United back in 2018, is set to complete a £40 million move, and has already had his medical.
The move has happened very quickly in the end, with Wolves having initially been keen to keep the 27-year-old. A £45 million asking price was set, but Wanderers were happy to come down slightly in the end.
It is only a matter of time now until the move is confirmed.
And Wolves may well look to take advantage of a club who are under some financial pressure to land a replacement for Kilman.
FC Porto are in FFP trouble meaning Wolves could get good deal on David Carmo

It was recently reported that Wolves were interested in a potential move for David Carmo of FC Porto.
Carmo spent the second half of last season on loan with Olympiacos, who are keen to re-sign him after he helped them to win the Europa Conference League.
Carmo has been suggested a possible signing for Wolves. Him being a tall, left-footed central defender makes him a potentially good replacement for Kilman.
Once Wolves have finalised Kilman’s sale, Gary O’Neil and Matt Hobbs could well attempt to sign a replacement.
A Bola have reported that Porto are currently under financial pressure, and it is ‘imperative’ for them to make ‘a very big sale’ this summer. They have already been fined by UEFA this year because of unpaid debts.
It is suggested by the publication that Porto could raise funds through sales of the likes of Francisco Conceicao, Wendel and Wolves target Carmo.
It may well be that this situation, combined with Kilman leaving, will encourage them to come calling for Carmo.
Wolves may fancy Carmo swoop
This one could be one to watch, because Wolves love a bargain and these financial issues for Porto might mean they have to accept a lower fee than they would have liked for Carmo.
Olympiacos are very keen to have him back following his stint there last season, so there is competition for Wolves.
But Wolves would likely be able to outbid the Greek giants and offer a greater salary.
Carmo seems like he would be a solid replacement for Kilman. He’s played in a back three and a back four, and has a similar build to Kilman.
He is also said to be a leader, and we know how big Wolves are on signing players with strong character and personality.
