Fabio Silva left Wolves in the summer after five years of uncertainty, including four separate loan moves.
The striker moved to Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth around £23 million as he looked to turn his career around.
In terms of his time at Molineux, it was certainly not successful, but insiders at Wolves believe it was the right club at the wrong time for Fabio Silva.
Silva will go down as one of Fosun’s worst signings throughout their ownership, but they may also have made a smart move in the sale.

Fabio Silva inching closer to Borussia Dortmund exit

Despite only joining Borussia Dortmund at the end of the summer transfer window, Fabio Silva looks set to secure a move away from the German giants.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Real Betis are advancing in discussions to sign the Portuguese forward on loan until the end of the season.
Dortmund are reportedly waiting for the forward to agree to terms with the Spanish club, and the option for the deal to become permanent is set to be included.
If you are Rob Edwards in January, who is one player you would sell, and one player you’d replace them with? 💰
At the moment, the purchase option fee is yet to be disclosed, but you would expect Borussia Dortmund to want at least their money back.
And if the fee is any higher, the Old Gold could end up bringing some unexpected cash into the club.
Wolves have Fabio Silva sell-on clause
Back in September, Liam Keen revealed that Wolves included a sell-on clause for Fabio Silva, but the exact percentage is unknown.
The clause comes into effect based on the amount of profit that Borussia Dortmund earns from a Silva sale. For example, if the German club sell the Portuguese striker for £35 million, the Old Gold would receive a percentage of the £12 million profit they make.
With a move to La Liga growing closer, and a purchase option expected to be included, the Wanderers could receive that sum earlier than they anticipated in the summer.
If a deal cannot be agreed with Real Betis, Villarreal are also said to be interested. There are plenty of chances for Wolves to land a windfall.
