Wolves are set for a massive January transfer window with plenty of comings and goings expected, as they look to stay in the Premier League.
Vitor Pereira is now in charge of the Old Gold after taking over from Gary O’Neil in December. While the manager’s start at Molineux has been positive, relegation is still a real possibility.
Therefore, the January transfer window could be vital in turning Wolves’ fortunes around further.
A new defender is needed, while Pereira may be wanting to bring in his own players for the second half of the campaign.

Transfers in
Tommy Doyle has signed for Wolves after a successful loan spell at the club during the 2023/24 season. The Molineux side activated the option to buy in May for £4.3 million.
Rodrigo Gomes became Wolves’ second signing of the summer in June 2024. O’Neil signed the versatile wide player for £12.7 million.
Wolves finally splashed out on a striker as they brought in Norwegian international Jorgen Strand Larsen. The 24-year-old has joined on loan for £2.5 million but will stay permanently if certain clauses are triggered for £23 million.
Youngster Pedro Lima joined Wolves for £8.5 million. The 18-year-old Brazilian wonderkid signed a five-year deal with the option of another.
Wolves signed Bastien Meupiyou in late August as the young defender became the club’s fifth major signing of the summer. The fee was believed to be around £4.2 million.
Wolves brought in goalkeeper Sam Johnstone from Crystal Palace for £10 million. The England international will provide competition for Jose Sa.
Brazilian international Andre was brought into Wolves on the summer transfer deadline day to help stregthen the midfield.
Following this, Carlos Forbs was also signed on loan from Ajax, with the Old Gold possessing an option to buy the winger.
Emmanuel Agbadou became Wolves’ first signing of 2025 when the defender joined in mid-January to reinforce the Old Gold’s backline.
Transfer out
Wolves’ first major departure of the summer saw club captain Max Kilman depart. The defender joined fellow Premier League rivals West Ham for a fee of £40 million.
Pedro Neto was the next major outing. Wolves received a record fee for the winger as he moved to Chelsea for £54 million.
Daniel Podence left Wolves after the English summer transfer window, joining Pereira’s former side Al Shabab.
Out on loan
Hugo Bueno was sent out on loan to Dutch giants Feyenoord in August on a season-long loan.
Ki-Jana Hoever was once again sent out on a season-long loan, this time to newly promoted Ligue 1 side Auxerre.
Twanda Chirewa dropped down to the Championship in search of regular game-time, joining Derby County on a season-long loan.
Joe Hodge and Nigel Lonwijk both completed loan moves to Huddersfield Town for the rest of the season.
Wolves’ former record signing Fabio Silva also left the club on loan, joing Spanish side Las Palmas.
Joining the the striker in Spain in Chiquinho who is on loan to La Liga outfit Mallorca.

Releases
Bendeguz Bolla was released in June after a spell at Swiss side Servette in the 2023/24 season. The Hungarian international never made a first-team appearance for Wolves.
Louie Moulden was also released from Wolves in June. The goalkeeper spent the 2023/24 campaign on loan to Rochdale and Northampton.
Loan deals expired
Noha Lemina’s loan deal expired at the end of last season. Wolves did have the option to buy the midfielder at the end of the deal. However, this clause was not activated.
