Football Manager 2024 predicts Wolves’ upcoming summer transfer window for the 2024/25 campaign.
Now that Wolves’ season has come to an end, all eyes are on the transfer window. Gary O’Neil’s first season in charge ended in success as he guided the club to a mid-table finish in the Premier League.
However, Wolves’ first team needs plenty of improvements with the lack of depth a big issue in the squad.
As a result, this article takes a look at what this summer could have installed for the Molineux faithful according to the simulation game Football Manager 2024.
By simulating all the way to the end of the window, we can see which major players the AI decided to bring into the club and who departed.
In – Damian Garcia

Starting off this list is wonderkid Damian Garcia. The midfielder is considered to have plenty of potential with the 20-year-old currently playing for Uruguayan side Penarol.
Possibly hoping to find another Joao Gomes-like bargain out in South America, Wolves paid £2 million for the 20-year-old.
Out – Nathan Fraser

Wolves’ wonderkid Nathan Fraser was given a chance to find regular first-team football out on loan. The striker departed for League One side Northampton in order to help fill his potential.
A move such as this seems plausible in real life as Fraser was almost sent out on loan in January 2024.
In – Jonathan Rowe

One signing which may happen in real life, Wolves signed Norwich winger Jonathan Rowe for £20.5 million on the game.
Rowe has been linked to Wolves in real life after he played a key role in getting his team into the playoffs before they lost to Leeds.
It remains to be seen if the Old Gold will follow this interest up with a bid this summer.

Out – Santiago Bueno

The first odd departure on this list, Wolves chose to part ways with Santiago Bueno after just one year at the club. The centre-back returned to Spain where he joined Real Betis for £4.5 million.
In real life, the Uruguayan didn’t set the world alight in his first season. In the last 10 years, Santiago Bueno has one of the worst ratings for a Wolves player.
However, it is highly unlikely that O’Neil will look to part ways with the defender, especially with such few options at the back.
In – Paul Jaeckel

To reinforce Wolves’ backline, the club looked across to Germany where they brought in Union Berlin centre-back Paul Jaeckel for £1.5 million.
In the 2022/23 season, the German helped guide the capital side to Champions League football. Therefore, Wolves must have seen the experienced 25-year-old as a bargain replacement.
Out – Hwang Hee-Chan

Another strange departure. Wolves let go of their South Korean superstar Hwang Hee-Chan on FM as he departed for £26.5 million to Italian side Cagliari.
While Wolves may need to sell a big star in real life, it seems highly unlikely that they would let Hwang depart.
The South Korean international was sensational in the 2023/24 campaign as he netted 12 times in the Premier League.
In – Lamine Camara

One of the biggest signings Wolves made. The club purchased attacking midfielder Lamine Camara from French side Metz for £9 million.
Camara is highly regarded in the French league and his free-kick ability has been likened to West Ham midfielder James Ward-Prowse.
Out – Toti Gomes

The final major departure in the summer transfer window was defender Toti Gomes. The centre-back moved to Montpellier for £3.3 million.
Again, like many of the departures on this list, it seems very unlikely that Toti will depart, especially for such a low price.
