Wolves absolutely desperate to offload 27-year-old today, could now make Qatar move

Wolves are said to be be ‘desperate’ to offload Daniel Podence today – and the winger could potentially head for Qatar.

The 27-year-old has not been involved for Wolves since the season started.

In fact, Podence has been away from the squad since the end of last season.

He’s had no minutes in pre-season, amid speculation he could depart.

He did make the bench for the pre-season friendly with Rennes, but did not play.

Podence has long been expected to leave Molineux this summer, but offers seemingly have not been forthcoming.

Previously it has been suggested that Wolves wanted around £12 million, for a player who cost just under £17 million from Olympiacos.

The club will not get anywhere near their initial investment.

Nor are they likely to receive £12 million.

Podence has just one year left, and his situation likely means that Wolves will be forced to accept a low offer today.

Gary O’Neil admitted recently that Podence does not share in the club’s current goals and ambitions.
