Wolves are said to be ‘reluctant’ to make a fresh attempt to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea, after the club saw a loan offer rejected.
Wanderers are closing in on Noha Lemina from PSG, but it looks as though a move for Broja may not happen now.
Wolves have been linked with the Albania international for a few weeks now, but the situation is that Chelsea are wanting money for the player, either now or in the summer.
Wolves presented a loan offer to Chelsea, but it was rejected ‘instantly’ because there was no option/obligation to buy included.
Now, it appears Wolves are ready to admit defeat over Broja…
Wolves ‘reluctant’ to make second attempt to sign Armando Broja

It has been reported by the Evening Standard this morning that Wolves are ‘reluctant’ to make another offer for Broja after their setback.
It is stated that, at the moment, Fulham are the player’s most likely destination if he is going to leave Chelsea.
The Cottagers saw Raul Jimenez go off injured in their Premier League game against Everton yesterday, potentially increasing their need for a new centre-forward.
Seemingly, Wolves just do not have the financial capability to buy Broja in this window. Chelsea are digging their heels in over the player and want to ensure they get money for the 22-year-old.
Of course, earlier in the window, sporting director Matt Hobb did allude to Wolves still having to be careful this month, telling fans in a statement: “We dealt with the most pressing profit and sustainability issues during the summer in a positive and proactive way, so while Gary knows we’ll support him if we can, we’re also not going to put ourselves in any danger whatsoever.”
Broja to Wolves seems very unlikely now
So Wolves don’t look as though they will be going back in for Broja after their loan proposal was rebuffed.
While the £40,000-a-week man would be nice to have on loan, it is totally understandable that Chelsea want to secure a fee for him.
But it’s also understandable that Wolves, who are financially restricted, don’t want to be spending money on him now or committing to a purchase in the summer, when there is no guarantee he’ll perform.
There have been claims of Chelsea wanting £50 million which, if true, is a completely ludicrous valuation.
It is difficult to see how an agreement can be reached between the two clubs and at this point, it would be no surprise to see Wolves focus their efforts on someone like Che Adams before the window closes.
