Wolves fans are optimistic that several more new faces will be arriving this summer after Fer Lopez and Jhon Arias.
Lopez signed for Wolves from Celta Vigo over a month ago now, becoming the club’s first addition of the window.
And Jhon Arias will complete his move to Wolves this coming week, after a breakthrough was reached a few days ago.
Fluminense have already confirmed Arias’ transfer to Wolves, which is a big relief and an exciting development.
But there is one player Wolves have been linked with a fair bit this summer, who will not be coming to Molineux.
And quite possibly, Wolves may have missed out on the chance to sign him in the future too.
Wallace Yan signs new contract after Wolves transfer speculation

Earlier this summer, Wolves were said to be tracking Wallace Yan.
The Flamengo starlet has really impressed in recent times, and very much caught the eye at the Club World Cup, scoring goals against Chelsea and LAFC.
Wallace also recently scored against Sao Paulo.
But while he has been linked with Wolves, there have always been mentions of Flamengo wanting to extend Wallace’s contract.
And that has now happened, with Flamengo confirming a new deal with a salary increase for Wallace on Saturday.
A club statement read: “Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that a salary adjustment was made in the contract of striker Wallace Yan, in recognition of his recent performance with the professional team.
“The readjustment reflects the appreciation of an athlete trained in the club’s youth categories and who has stood out on the field with important goals, consistent performances and constant technical evolution.
“In addition to his performance in the games, Wallace Yan has also shown exemplary commitment in training and in his development process as a player of Mais Querido.”
So Wallace will stay with Flamengo for the time being, and the information given by journalist Vene Casagrande suggests that Wolves can potentially forget about any future transfer. For the youngster now has a huge £52 million release clause for overseas clubs.
Casagrande said: “The new termination fines for Wallace Yan after receiving a salary increase: 60 million euros for overseas. 300 million reais for the domestic market.”
Wallace Yan move looks practically impossible now for Wolves
Wallace will now stay at Flamengo which is huge for them, considering what an exciting young talent he is.
It is a shame for Wolves, because it will now be extremely difficult to sign him in the future.

If Wallace continues on the same exciting trajectory he has been on recently, then Flamengo will surely be able to sell him for the value of that release clause, or at least close to it.
We know that Wolves like to pick up these young talents from South America for modest fees, and this new deal ensures Wanderers will not be able to do that with Wallace now.
