After three defeats in their first three games of the 2025/26 Premier League season, Wolves are in dire need of reinforcements on deadline day.
Vitor Pereira’s side have struggled in the first few weeks of the campaign, and those struggles have largely been attributed to Wolves losing a number of key players during what’s been a busy summer transfer window.
The loss of Matheus Cunha in the attacking areas after he was sold to Man Utd for £62.5m has certainly had a huge impact on Wolves’ early season fortunes, and with striker Jorgen Strand Larsen also being linked with a move away, it’s clear that forward signings are needed.
Luckily for Wolves fans, their club have provided just that. Striker Tolu Arokodare has now joined Wolves, having travelled to the Midlands on Sunday 31st August.
Here’s everything you need to know about the striker.

Tolu Arokodare was born on 23rd November 2000, making him 24 years old. The striker was born in Festac Town, Lagos, Nigeria, and became a Nigerian senior international in 2025 – scoring in one of his four appearances to date.

With plenty of wide attacking options in the squad already, fans will be pleased to know that Arokodare is tall enough to take advantage of crosses into the box. Standing 1.97m (6 ft 6 in), Arokodare is certainly an imposing figure to have at the tip of a team.

According to a report from United In Focus, Arokodare was on Manchester United’s radar for a number of months too.
The striker was said to have been ‘appreciated’ by Christopher Vivell and Jason Wilcox at the club, and was seen as a potential target man option before Benjamin Sesko made the move to Old Trafford.
What Tolu Arokodare said after completing Wolves move
Speaking after completing his reported £24m move to Wolves and putting pen to paper on a four-year deal, Arokodare said that Molineux was ‘where he wants to be’:
“It feels amazing. It did take a while, but I’m here finally, and I’m happy to be here. I didn’t need convincing. I know the history of the club and the players that have been here and how they’ve progressed to become better players. I like the project of the club, and that’s what I want for myself. I want to improve and I want to progress, and help this team.
“I think I’ll fit in pretty good. If you, for example, look at the strikers that we have now, we’re almost the same profile, so it won’t be difficult for me to adapt. You could see how good [Jorgen Strand] Larsen did last season, and I’m just here to help the team.”
