When Kevin Danso will have his Wolves medical as Vitor Pereira closes in on second signing

Wolves are finally close to securing their second signing of the transfer window after fresh news broke on Kevin Danso.

Wolves secured a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa, which could prove to be massive in their fight for Premier League survival.

The Wanderers moved out of the relegation zone after Leicester City and Ipswich Town lost their matches earlier in the day.

However, it wasn’t just bragging rights over their Midland rivals that would have left supporters feeling delighted, as some promising transfer news broke on Saturday night.

Kevin Danso set for Wolves medical after loan transfer agreed

Wolves supporters have been desperate to see further players arrive at Molineux after Emmanuel Agbadou.

Kevin Danso emerged as Pereira’s priority target in the past week, seeing the Austrian as the ideal figure to join his defence.

The Old Gold were battling Ligue 1 side Rennes for the 26-year-old, although further clubs also joined the race to sign him.

Wolves saw two bids rejected for Danso, failing to agree on his £25 million valuation, while Juventus wanted to sign Danso on loan.

A Champions League side coming in for the Austrian international was seen as a huge blow to the Wanderers, who are battling relegation.

However, in a dramatic turn of events, The Telegraph’s John Percy has revealed that Wolves have agreed a loan deal with RC Lens for Danso and he’s expected to undergo his medical on Sunday.

With only two days left in the transfer window, Wolves are leaving their business late once more, but this is huge news in the context of their season.

Everything Wolves fans need to know about Danso

Danso is a player who has been on Wolves’ radar for a while and now, supporters can start to feel excited about what their incoming addition can bring.

The excellent ball-playing defender has made 128 appearances for his current club Lens, becoming a stalwart in the heart of their back line.

The colossal Danso has also been capped 24 times for Austria at the International level and has often showcased his defensive qualities on the big stage.

Pereira sees the Lens star as someone who can bring some class to their back line, enabling them to play out of the back much better and solidify their defence.

Hopefully, much like Agbadou, Danso can become an instant success at Molineux.
