Wolves are closing in on their fourth new signing of the summer in the form of young defender Bastien Meupiyou.
The teenager was the subject of a couple of failed bids from Wanderers, but an agreement was reached on Wednesday night. Wolves will reportedly pay Nantes an initial £4.2 million for his transfer.
It is thought that Meupiyou will come in and stay with Wolves, after some suggestions on social media that he could be immediately loaned out.
Should this come to fruition, then it’ll be a big win for Wolves as Meupiyou reportedly have a number of ‘top-end clubs’ on his tail.
Despite now having much first-team experience, he is seen as a young player with a very high ceiling.
Wolves have taken advantage of the fact that Meuipyou only has one year left on his contract at Nantes, and reportedly the starlet would not extend.
Bastien Meupiyou set to have Wolves medical by the end of the week as deal bonuses shared

It’s been reported by RMC Sport that Meupiyou is now set to complete his medical with Wolves by the end of this week.
The French publication also add that the bonuses on top of the £4.2 million initial fee should be in excess of about £850,000.
With Wolves playing their first home match of the season on Sunday, there is potential that Meupiyou could be present at Molineux for the game against Chelsea.
But this deal does now sound as though it’s a question of when and not if.

So Meupiyou looks to be closing in on his move to Wolves and it will be interesting to see what kind of involvement he will have in his first season.
Seemingly, the plan is for him to stay at the club and not be loaned out.
The youngster might be given opportunities with the U21s initially so that he can acclimatise to the English game and find his feet.
But he will know that if he takes his chances and trains hard, then there will be potential for first-team minutes.
Wolves have shown themselves in recent times to be a club that is willing to get youngsters into the mix, and Meupiyou looks to be a very bright young player.
Hopefully, Wolves can get this one over the line by Sunday, and another centre-back with more experience can follow the Frenchman through the door.
