Wolves are set to complete their first signing of the summer this week in the form of Fer Lopez.
It has been all about the outgoings up to this point, with Matheus Cunha and Rayan Ait-Nouri both leaving the club in big-money deals.
That said, Wolves fans are not overly happy with the final fee for Ait-Nouri.
Pablo Sarabia, Craig Dawson and Carlos Forbs have all left too.
Fans had been clamouring for some incoming activity and over the weekend, Wolves started to make tracks.
On Saturday, it was claimed Fer Lopez reached an agreement on personal terms with Wolves.
And on Sunday, it was then claimed an agreement between Wolves and Celta Vigo for Lopez had been reached.
The personal terms were seemingly sorted out fairly quickly, and one claim may now suggest why that was the case.
Fer Lopez set to triple wages at Wolves

Wolves are going to be paying for Lopez in installments.
Lopez had a £17 million release clause, but clubs were required to pay that in one lump sum. But Wolves have reached an agreement with Celta that will see them play slightly more than £17 million, but spreading the cost over installments.
It’s expected this deal will now complete at some point this week.
Estadio Deportivo reported on this situation last night before word of the breakthrough between Wolves and Celta arrived – and seemingly, Jorge Mendes has had a big hand in the proposed deal.
Mendes will have greater influence this summer for Wolves after the club had a recruitment restructure. Vitor Pereira will work closely with the agent and his right-hand man Valdir Cardoso to secure targets.
The restructure saw Matt Hobbs leave Wolves, and there was talk of Domenico Teti coming in as a new technical director.
It is stated that the Lopez transfer is seen as cheap by those in the Celta sphere, and that Lopez’s move to Wolves is seen as a favour to Mendes for the work he did helping to facilitate Jorgen Strand Larsen’s move to Molineux last year.
It is also mentioned that Wolves’ offer to Lopez will see him triple his wages.
Wolves must get Fer Lopez deal signed off quickly
The speed at which the Lopez deal has progressed has been encouraging.
Interest was only first reported on Friday, and we are already now talking about him as being a new player at Wolves this week.
Hopefully there will be no hiccups, and Wolves will confirm the transfer in the coming days.

Some have had mixed feelings about Wolves working more closely with Mendes again.
Certainly, there have been some deals facilitated by him in the past that have not really worked out.
But there have also been some good success stories, and with Wolves needing to move fairly quickly this summer, it seems a positive thing that he’s involved more deeply in Wolves’ activities.
