Wolves have had a quiet transfer window to date this year, although now it’s emerged that it’s unlikely to stay that way for long.
The Wolves attack is the priority this January for Gary O’Neil as he looks to add to his flying Wolves side.
Strengthening in January is of paramount success for Wolves with the possible outcome of finishing inside the European positions if they push on a little bit.
Hwang Hee-Chan has been the standout for Old Gold this campaign with 10 goals in 20 Premier League games. However, in his absence, options are limited, especially with Sasa Kalajdzic heading on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt until June.
Now it’s been claimed that Wolves are absolutely looking to bring in a forward this January.

Wolves want to sign a striker in January
Writing on X, journalist Ben Jacobs has dropped an update on Wolves’ transfer plans for this month, as we approach the halfway point.
He wrote: “They are definitely exploring options. There is substance to the Hugo Ekitike links. [The] player [was] previously wanted Palace. PSG want to sell not loan. Frankfurt (who bid last summer) and Wolfsburg [are] another two in the mix.”
The Hugo Ekitike links are gaining momentum and with Jacobs claiming PSG don’t want to loan, they could in the end be faced with a need to accept a lower offer, although there is a battle for his signature.
If the move for the Frenchman does fall through, Wolves do have alternatives which they can fall back on considering how keen they are on a striker.
Wolves have Ekitike alternatives
Wolves have a few strikers on their shortlist which leaves no excuse for a failure to strengthen.
The one name that keeps returning to the picture around Molineux is Che Adams of Southampton. Adams is out of contract in the summer and is a real option this month.
Wolves have also shown an interest in Chris Bedia from Servette who managed 28 goals in 2023.
A move for Danny Ings also seemed to be a possibility but now that move is said to be off too.
