What Sasa Kalajdzic wants to do after Eintracht Frankfurt loan ends

Wolves recently sanctioned the loan exit of Sasa Kalajdzic, after the striker struggled for minutes in the first half of the season.

The Austria international failed to force his way into the starting XI, despite some encouraging moments in old gold, such as when he scored late winners against Everton and Bournemouth.

Gary O’Neil has much preferred the likes of Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-chan in attack, with Kalajdzic playing just 157 minutes in the Premier League this term.

It made sense for all parties to get Kalajdzic out on loan, and Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt were to benefit from the situation.

He’s only just completed the loan move, which has no option to buy, but what does the player want to do next season? A report has offered some information…

Kalajdzic was a bit frustrated with his game time at Wolves according to Matt Hobbs, but seemingly, there are no issues between player and manager and everything has been smooth with his exit.

Seemingly, there was an acceptance on the part of O’Neil and Kalajdzic that the situation of him not playing at Wolves couldn’t continue.

Kalajdzic has been happy to make this move, with Austria competing at Euro 2024 this summer.

He’s hoping to play regularly at Eintracht in order to be well-prepared for the tournament.

According to the Daily Mail though, Kalajdzic is currently thinking about having another crack at the Premier League once he finishes his latest spell in Germany.

It’s claimed Kalajdzic feels he has ‘unfinished business’ in England and would like to continue playing in the Premier League, whether that be with Wolves or another club.

Seemingly then, he is not currently thinking about making his loan move to Eintracht permanent, although he could well end up wanting to do that if he enjoys his time there and a deal can be agreed with Wolves in the summer.

Kalajdzic situation will be fascinating to watch unfold this year

It is going to be really interesting to see what happens with Kalajdzic in 2024.

He has been through a very frustrating time over the last 18 months or so, so hopefully this move to Eintracht can be a successful one and he can score some goals and get regular minutes.

It hasn’t worked out for him at Wolves yet, but there’s no reason why it ultimately can’t.

It would be nice for him to come back into the fold for next season as a fitter, more confident player. Who knows at this stage what will transpire, but all that matters is that Kalajdzic now gets himself back on track.
