Santiago Bueno has been one of Wolves’ best players this season and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed.
It’s been a dismal season for the Old Gold which has culminated in relegation.
Should any of these NOT be on this list? And are there any who aren’t there who SHOULD be on? 🤔
The Athletic have claimed Wolves would like these nine players to stay after relegation…
Wanderers will play in the Championship from next season, after eight years in the top-flight, and a big rebuild will take place ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Many will be leaving, although Wolves would like several to stay and form the core of a new-look group.
One player they would like to stay is Santiago Bueno, who has actually delivered quite a lot of consistent performances this season, despite the team’s collective struggles.
But relegation complicates matters, and it seems there’s a chance he could be going.
Santiago Bueno wanted by multiple Premier League clubs, he wants top-flight stay

Yesterday, Sport Witness claimed that a number of Premier League clubs are now looking to poach Bueno after Wolves’ relegation.
The interested clubs are Leeds United, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Brentford.
It’s stated that Bueno is ‘planning to change clubs’ after Wolves’ relegation, and that all four of these clubs have made contact over a potential move for the defender.
The publication say there’s no word of any asking price set by Wolves at the moment, and then include the line ‘What’s certain for now is that the player will leave Wolves in the summer’.
It’s quite a strong claim, but Bueno would certainly be deserving of remaining in the Premier League given his performances.
It will be interesting to see where he ends up.
West Ham United are still fighting against relegation at the moment, but Bueno could potentially link up with former Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
The pair didn’t cross paths at Molineux, but Nuno already has a couple of former Wolves players in the West Ham dressing room in the form of Max Kilman and Adama Traore.
And Crystal Palace may also be one to keep an eye on in particular.
Matt Hobbs is the sporting director at Selhurst Park, and he was in that same position at Wolves when Bueno was signed from Girona for £8.5 million (BBC Sport).
