Wolves are pushing to get a deal for Kevin Danso over the line before the January transfer window closes.
After the Old Gold welcomed Emmanuel Agbadou, it became clear that Wolves wanted to make more signings, with another centre-back eyed.
Vitor Pereira has demanded a midfielder and a defender, with RC Lens star Kevin Danso at the top of the list.
Wolves have had two bids rejected by Lens for Danso and now, the race is heating up with other clubs in the frame.

Rennes ready to battle Wolves for Kevin Danso transfer
As the transfer window reaches the home straight, Wolves are locking down on their targets.
The issue comes as several clubs are interested in Danso, including Aston Villa and most prominently, Rennes.
Danso reportedly wants to join Rennes this winter but, opposing reports have suggested that the player is also keen on a Premier League move.
It looks as though the transfer could come down to small margins, with Lens clear on their asking price for Danso, something Wolves must take note of.
Aside from impressing the player’s club, the Old Gold must also dazzle their target, which is something Rennes are willing to do, according to Sky Sports.
Journalist Lyall Thomas relayed that Danso would ‘prefer’ a Premier League return – following his loan spell at Southampton – but, Rennes are not giving up their pursuit.
The Lige 1 side ‘can improve’ Danso’s salary, which could be a decisive factor in this transfer race.
Wolves now have two responses to fire at Lens: an improved transfer fee and a tempting package for the player.
What is Kevin Danso’s salary?
With other clubs on his tail, Wolves must do what is possible to lure Danso to Molineux before time runs out.
Now that Rennes have raised the idea of an improved salary, the Old Gold must get ahead of the game.
Currently, Danso is the sixth highest earner at Lens, according to Capology, picking up a weekly wage of £24k.
When revising the highest-paid players at Wolves, Danso would rank rather low down the table with that salary, giving some hope into what the Old Gold could offer the Austrian to lure him away from France.
