A few faces have left Wolves in recent days – and one player’s exit again reflects really poorly on Fosun.
Wanderers had a very busy end to the summer transfer window.
Having gone very quiet for a couple of months, Wolves sprung into action with three new faces coming in on deadline day, after Bastien Meupiyou signing the day before.
A number of players also departed, with Podence the final outgoing a couple of days after the English deadline passed. The Saudi window was still open, and he joined Al-Shabab.
One other player who left was Fabio Silva, who was always expected to go.
He had not impressed during his latest loan move at Rangers, and Wolves had wanted to sell.
But that was not possible in the end, and his latest move really does again highlight what a poor call Fosun made back in 2020.
Fabio Silva to Las Palmas far from ideal for Wolves

Silva declared early in the summer that it was ‘no secret’ that he wanted to leave Wolves.
It was even suggested by the striker that he never even really wanted to make his 2020 move to Wolves from FC Porto in the first place.
He had said that there was just too much money involved for him to have much of a say, and admitted that Porto would have forced him to play in the reserves if he did not leave.
For several reasons, Silva has never managed to impress for Wolves.
Now, he has made a move to Spanish club Las Palmas – and this is far from being ideal for Wolves, who would surely have preferred to sell.
It is just a straight loan. Seemingly, Wolves could not get another club to agree to a buy option, which just shows that no one was willing to take a risk on him.
There were claims of interest from Sevilla and Real Valladolid, as well as Bologna and Fiorentina.
But Silva has wound up at Las Palmas, and the club will desperately hope that he can make a success of his latest move ahead of trying to sell him again next summer.
Silva transfer was a major oversight by Fosun
Frankly, the Silva transfer has been a disaster, and a major oversight from Fosun to sanction the deal back in 2020.
It was a move that should never have happened. Silva – who is thought to be on high wages of £80,000 per week – had barely featured for Porto’s first-team and was simply never ready to make the move when he did. And that was clear from the outset watching him play.
Wolves fans got behind him during some tough times. But he has unfortunately never shown signs that he will become a top Premier League player.
Wolves would have hoped to sell Silva this summer, but have had to settle for loaning him out again without securing even a buy option, which really does underline this disastrous oversight from Fosun.
Landing him for £35 million and paying him such high wages was always a huge risk and now it is coming back to bite Wolves.
