Wolves fans would like to hope that a very productive summer awaits.
The 2024/25 season has been a huge struggle, but it looks as though Vitor Pereira will keep the club in the Premier League.
He’s guided Wolves to nine points clear of the relegation zone.
Some feel the battle is now over, with the bottom three in no shape to challenge.
Alan Shearer thinks the relegation battle is over.
And Paul Merson also thinks Wolves are definitely now safe from the drop.
But Pereira will hope to see the job through as soon as possible, and then think ahead to next season.
There’s already been some chat about the summer, with Fosun expected to adopt a self-sustaining model once again.
That would suggest a couple of big money sales, with young players to come in for lower sums, like Rodrigo Gomes last year.
But we will see, and we will also see how much of an influence Jorge Mendes has.
It was claimed yesterday by Sky reporter and Wolves fan Johnny Phillips that Mendes’ right-hand man Valdir Cardoso has recently visited Compton Park, and discussed transfer strategy amongst other things.
And some supporters believe this signals something interesting.
Wolves fans speculate after reports Jorge Mendes associate Valdir Cardoso visited Compton

On social media yesterday, fans were reacting to the claim from Phillips that Cardoso has been at Compton.
Given he is Mendes’ right-hand man, there is a feeling for some that this potentially signals that Wolves will be leaning on Mendes and the Gestifute agency in the next transfer window.
Mendes and his Gestifute agency served Wolves very well in the early years of Fosun’s ownership of the club, and so, fans believe Cardoso’s visit may bode well for the summer, and suggest Wolves will indeed be looking to Mendes.

@ConnorLiamShak1 said: “Hobbs cooking 👀👀”
@Dan__Vincent said: “Get him back!”
Some also took a cynical view of the Cardoso claim and suggestion Wolves could work with Mendes again.
@DuckinsDavid said: “I wouldn’t hold my breath, be more player sales than incomings, massive summer for us, needs a massive overhaul.”
@Onlyglove_ added: “This when they announce season tickets for next year.”
Wolves need a big summer and Mendes could be key
There will be lots of changes at Wolves this summer with a number of players set to leave.
The likes of Matheus Cunha, Pablo Sarabia and Nelson Semedo are all likely to leave Wolves, and replacing them will not be easy.
But Mendes has served Wolves well previously, and it would be no surprise if the club looked to him this summer to help facilitate transfer deals.
He helped bring a lot of Portuguese players to Molineux who ended up doing very well, like Diogo Jota, Ruben Neves, Pedro Neto and many others.
It is vital that Wolves have a strong summer, because it could mean the difference between pushing on and getting weaker, the latter of which Wanderers simply cannot afford given their current position.
