Matheus Cunha was a brilliant feature of Wolves’ announcement video for Pedro Lima last night.
Tuesday was a busy day at Molineux, with two new players joining the club and the 2024/25 home kit also being announced.
Jorgen Strand Larsen was announced by Wolves as a new signing in the afternoon, and Lima was then made official in the evening.
It has been a very positive start to the summer from Wolves, with four new additions being made.
The likelihood now though is that we will be seeing some sales, with speculation continuing about the future of captain Max Kilman.
But Lima is official, and Wolves’ announcement of him was top class.
Matheus Cunha ‘stars’ as Wolves release Pedro Lima announcement video

A couple of weeks ago, it was reported that Wolves had reached an agreement with Brazilian club Sport Recife for the transfer of Lima.
Lima had initially been all set to join Chelsea, with a view to going out on loan to French club Strasbourg.
But Wanderers came in and poached the teenager, with a little help from Matheus Cunha.
Cunha reached out to Lima, and helped to sell the Wolves project.
And because of that, Wolves then made Cunha a feature of their brilliant announcement video of the youngster last night. The player hasn’t actually reported back to Compton yet, but the video is filmed from his perspective.
He plays the role of sporting director and heads into Matt Hobbs’ office.
He heads to the table, and there is a contract waiting to be signed. It has already been signed by Lima’s agent.
Cunha then gets a message from Joao Gomes who asks ‘Is Pedro signed yet?’, before looking at his computer screen.
Cunha then cheekily mutes journalist Fabrizio Romano, after seeing the tweet he put out about Lima agreeing to join Chelsea, which featured an image of the player mocked up in a Chelsea shirt.
Lima then sends a message to Cunha saying ‘Ready now’, before walking through the door. He then signs the contract that is on the table.
A brilliant announcement
This is simply fantastic work from the Wolves media team, who are constantly finding entertaining and creative ways to announce new players.
They will do well to ever top the Diego Costa one, which featured three real wolves.
But this Lima one is top work, and it’s great to see them basing it around Cunha, because he actually did play a significant role in getting Lima to the club.
Initially, the £44 million man was disappointed to hear that Lima was set to join Chelsea, because he really wanted him to come to Molineux.
But after news surfaced that Wolves had agreed a deal a couple of weeks ago, the Brazilian was very happy indeed, sending a 25-word reaction on Instagram.
Hopefully now, the attacker will be on hand to help his fellow countryman settle in nice and quickly. Wolves fans will not doubt that for a single second.
