Vitor Pereira signing already set for medical at European club in summer loan move

Wolves have been busy in the transfer market this summer window, and nothing seems to be changing on that front, be it for incomings or outgoings.

The club have already confirmed the capture of Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo this summer, while striker Jorgen Strand Larsen completed a permanent move after being on loan last campaign.

There have also been some noticeable outgoings at Molineux this summer, as Matheus Cunha departed to join Manchester United, and it is expected Nelson Semedo could soon join him.

However, it looks like there may be another defender out the door before the wingback, if reports are to be believed.

Rangers edge closer to the loan signing of Wolves centre back Nasser Djiga

It has been reported that Rangers are close to agreeing to a loan deal for Wolves centre-back Nasser Djiga.

Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph has reported on X that the deal is edging ever closer.

He believes the deal to be a straightforward loan deal that would be season-long, with the medical set to take place in the coming days.

This news comes just six months after the player joined the club for a fee of £10 million from Red Star Belgrade.

Djiga is in need of a loan move

Rangers would be doing Wolves a favour by taking the player on loan, as the player desperately needs playing time.

Djiga only made five appearances after signing for the Molineux club, mainly due to the need for Vitor Pereira to get the club out of a relegation battle.

He turned towards experience to do this, and it proved fruitful; however, this may see him turn to them once again this year to build on the good finish to the campaign.

Getting minutes in the Scottish top flight would be incredibly beneficial, as he will be challenged while having the opportunity to play for a top side and to compete in European competition too.

Pereira may believe this is the best way for Djiga to impress him, and these minutes and an impressive season may convince him the Burkina Faso international is worth a spot in his side.
