Vitor Pereira sends demand to Fosun on how many signings Wolves need to make in the January transfer window

Wolves’ Premier League survival chances took a hit on Monday night after a 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.

It was far from an ideal result as the hosts struggled to put the ball into the net throughout the game.

While the scoreline may have flattered Forest, it was far from ideal and leaves the club in a precarious position.

Throughout the match, it was clear that reinforcements were needed as Vitor Pereira fielded a depleted squad due to injury and suspension.

Now, the Wolves manager has stated how many players are needed in January if the club are to avoid the drop.

The January transfer window could be make or break for Wolves. The club hover above the relegation zone on goal difference after their loss to Nottingham Forest.

Wolves’ defence is set to receive reinforcements in the coming days with Emmanuel Agbadou’s signing all but complete

However, few other names have been strongly linked with the Old Gold at the start of the window.

Despite this, after Monday night’s defeat, Pereira insisted that Wolves still need more signings to help ‘balance the squad.

He told the BBC: “We need to [add players]. Not too much but we need at least two or three players to balance the squad and balance the team.”

A back-up striker is a must at Wolves

Against Nottingham Forest, it became clear that Wolves need a back-up striker.

Jorgen Strand Larsen could not find the back of the net despite a flurry of chances but Pereira had few options to choose from on the bench.

Under Gary O’Neil, Goncalo Guedes was fulfilling this role but he has since cemented a place in the first-team in recent weeks.

Therefore, this role needs replacing which could be the difference between survival and relegation.

Hopefully, over the coming weeks, Wolves find their man ready for their next Premier League game vs Newcastle.
