Wolves fans have been waiting for news on Nelson Semedo, and Vitor Pereira has now responded when asked about the wing-back.
Fans have been left baffled by the Semedo situation, with no decision yet being communicated by the player.
Semedo has had a four-year contract offer on the table from Wolves for weeks, but has seemingly not actually made his final decision on whether to sign.
Meanwhile, Wolves are now having their pre-season.
Nelson Semedo is a free agent now, and has been training alone.
The optics of it all have been very strange, but Vitor Pereira has now spoken about Semedo amid the uncertainty – and his comments do make for ominous reading.
Vitor Pereira suggests Nelson Semedo won’t return for Wolves

Some fans have felt recently as though Wolves should withdraw their contract offer to Semedo.
With pre-season having now started, this is a crucial time for Wolves to get new players in.
Had Semedo given an answer weeks ago, then Wolves might have had a new right wing-back in already, which would have been hugely beneficial.
But this state of limbo has potentially stopped Wolves from pushing ahead to sign a replacement.
But Pereira has now spoken about Semedo – and he makes it clear that Semedo has expressed his desire to move on.
He said: “The relationship that I have with Nelson, we have been, from the beginning, very honest
“He said to me that maybe it’s time, after five years here, to find another challenge and I understand.
“But I need to feel that he’s honest with me. I prefer to know the truth from the beginning. Then, waiting and waiting and waiting. We cannot wait.
“I like Nelson a lot. That’s why the club has a lot of respect and offered him a very good contract.
“But at the end of the day, we need to look for our club. We need to look for our future.
“This is the time to find a good solution.”

Wolves must confirm Semedo exit
Semedo has been a great servant for Wolves but his exit from the club has turned into a bit of a farce.
It is somewhat baffling that there still hasn’t been an official communication regarding his future.
There has to be some sympathy for Wolves over this because they obviously really want to keep him, but for whatever reason, Semedo still hasn’t given a definitive answer.

But Pereira’s comments here are very ominous.
It seems clear now for him that the player isn’t continuing, and he even talks about finding a solution to replace him.
He has as good as confirmed Semedo won’t return, and Wolves must now get on with life post-Semedo.
