Vitor Pereira has suffered a transfer setback after his priority target rejected the chance to sign for Wolves.
The Old Gold are set for a busy January window with multiple incomings and outgoings expected.
Mario Lemina is on the verge of joining Al Shabab while Sam Johnstone is another candidate to leave Molineux before next month.
And even though Wolves’ recruitment team are being kept busy trying to secure Pereira’s targets, one player has already ruled himself out of a move to Molineux in January.

Kevin Danso rejects Wolves transfer
Despite Wolves being in talks to sign Danso, the 26-year-old centre-back will not be arriving in the Premier League.
According to Footmercato journalist Santi Aouna, the Austria international has turned down the chance to team up with Pereira in the Midlands.
Danso, whose current deal doesn’t expire until 2027, is set to continue at RC Lens — the club he has been for the past three-and-a-half years.
Thankfully for the Wolves manager, though, the club has already arranged an alternative defender to ease the Danso disappointment.
Emmanuel Agbadou among Wolves’ alternative transfer options
Following the centre-back’s disappointing decision, Pereira is now forced to focus on alternative options with Reims’ Emmanuel Agbadou a more likely signing for Wolves.
The 27-year-old, who has represented Ivory Coast on seven occasions, is a highly-rated centre-back. His two-and-a-half years in France’s top flight have seen him emerge as a sought-after option.
His reliability and consistent performances at the heart of Will Still’s backline this season have contributed to Reims’ mid-table position as the side continue in their push for European qualification.
However, now close to signing for Wolves for £15 million and, subject to personal terms being agreed, Agbadou is set to complete his move next week.
