Two more European clubs join race to sign Fabio Silva as striker’s time at Wolves nears end

One of the first players Wolves will need to sort out in the summer transfer window will be Fabio Silva. The striker is approaching the final year of his contract.

Silva is currently on loan at Las Palmas and performing well. He has reached double figures for the season.

Vitor Pereira must decide what to do with the 22-year-old amid increasing speculation he’s heading for the Molineux exit.

Trio of Bundesliga clubs chasing Fabio Silva

Failing to live up to the hype ever since he joined from Porto in 2020, Silva has become a symbol of missed opportunity.

Supporters have all but given up with some fans wanting Silva to be sold.

Eintracht Frankfurt are interested in Silva and have already held talks over signing him at the end of the season.

And according to Rudy Galetti, the Die Adler have been joined in the hunt for Silva by another two German sides – Wolfsburg and Stuttgart.

End of the road

Although Matheus Cunha is set to leave in the summer, leaving Pereira with Jorgen Strand Larsen as his only real striking option, Silva is unlikely to return to the Midlands.

The Portuguese forward has failed to make the cut in the notoriously fast paced and physical Premier League.

It seems unlikely the Old Gold will give him another chance and risk him leaving on a free at the end of next season.

Nonetheless, Silva’s performances for Las Palmas this term, which have included 10 goals and three assists, have seen him retain some of his value.
