‘Trying to get it done’: Wolves could sign 27-year-old striker today

Wolves are having a very busy end to the summer transfer window – and it’s possible we could be seeing Che Adams complete a move to Molineux by the end of play today.

Wolves have been making moves over the last few days.

Yesterday, South American duo Enso Gonzalez and Santiago Bueno became the third and fourth signings of the summer for the club.

Tommy Doyle will also join the club on loan. He was pictured in Wolves training gear yesterday, and an announcement for his move should arrive quite soon.

There have been a few other links to players in the final hours of the window.

Including to Southampton striker Adams…

Wolves could sign Che Adams on deadline day

Late last night, journalist Alex Crook reported that Wolves will try to get the deal done today.

Earlier in the day, Crook had reported that Adams will sign a deal with the Saints in order to protect his value.

At the moment he only has a year remaining on his contract.

Southampton already have a replacement for Adams should he leave in the form of Ross Stewart.

Telegraph journalist John Percy also said yesterday that Wolves and Southampton were in talks over Adams.

Che Adams on loan would be a good move by Wolves

This would not be such a bad move by Wolves.

Fabio Silva and Sasa Kalajdzic have both shown positive signs so far this season and both are off the mark with at least a goal each.

Matheus Cunha has also started really well.

But perhaps Wolves do just need one more option.

Scotland international Adams, now in the Championship of course, obviously knows the Premier League. He has scored 25 goals in the division in 124 appearances.

He is by no means prolific, but to sign him on loan surely wouldn’t be a bad thing.

As long as it does not mean Gary O’Neil will play Silva less. It is very important the youngster gets a decent amount of minutes this season.
