Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri is generating attention ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Algerian has gone from strength to strength at Wolves over the previous two seasons, making rising interest in the player rather unsurprising.
Vitor Pereira will be eager to keep Ait-Nouri beyond the summer window, however, such won’t be easy to achieve.
Ait-Nouri is one of the best left-backs in the Premier League and has drawn interest from several top-six clubs.

Wolves will not stand in Rayan Ait-Nouri’s way amid summer transfer talk
It’s understood that Wolves believe Ait-Nouri has earned the right to play for a club challenging for silverware, as Sky Sports listed Liverpool’s interest in the defender.
Though Liverpool have been linked to Ait-Nouri before, the Reds aren’t the only side eyeing him, as transfer expert Graeme Bailey explained.
Manchester City are also in the race to sign Ait-Nouri, and Wolves’ stance on the matter has been revealed.
Speaking to Molineux News, Bailey of TBR explained that the Old Gold won’t be standing in Ait-Nouri’s way
“Wolves know about the interest in Ait-Nouri – they won’t be standing in his way, as long as someone meets their demands,” Bailey said.
The journalist then went on to share his prediction regarding whether Wolves will be able to keep hold of the Algeria international beyond the summer.
“Ait-Nouri has had a great season, and perhaps has gone under the radar with the likes of Antonee Robinson and Milos Kerkez hogging the headlines.
“But a number of clubs like Ait-Nouri and Manchester City have been doing work on him. I don’t expect him to be at Molineux next season.”
Wolves must demand a high fee for Ait-Nouri
After joining Wolves on an initial loan back in 2020, could the 2024/25 campaign mark Ait-Nouri’s final season in Old Gold?
Bailey certainly seems to think so, and with rising interest around the left-back, it could be that the 23-year-old moves on in the summer.
Fortunately, Wolves have the likes of Hugo Bueno and Rodrigo Gomes to compete for a starting spot in the event that Ait-Nouri were to leave, but first, the Midlands club must get what they can from the player’s transfer.
Statistic | Per game average | Rank in Wolves squad |
Tackles | 2.4 | 4th |
Assists | 7 | 1st |
Key passes | 1.1 | 2nd |
Dribbles | 1.6 | 2nd |
Still only 23, the Algerian has shown just how impactful he can be in the Premier League, contributing to 11 goals so far this term.
At a young age and with a contract that spans to 2026, with the option of a further year, Wolves must seek a sizeable fee for Ait-Nouri, whose value could be exploited by lucrative clubs.
It’s set to be a fascinating summer at Wolves, not just due to possible exits but arrivals too, as Pereira looks to get his squad to kick on.
